WALK-IN CLINIC

NEW WALK IN CLINIC AVAILABLE FOR JEDBURGH MEDICAL PRACTICE PATIENTS FROM TUESDAY 7 JULY 2026

OPENING HOURS TUESDAY-FRIDAY 12PM-8PM

From Tuesday 7th July, patients registered with Jedburgh Medical Practice can access the walk in clinic based in Hawick.

The Walk in Clinic can help with NEW health concerns such as:

  • New pain or fever
  • New sore throat, ear infection or chest infection
  • New skin conditions or rashes
  • New stomach or bowel problems
  • New muscle, joint or back pain
  • New headaches or dizziness
  • New changes in health or flare-ups of exisiting conditions.

The Walk in Clinic should NOT be used for:

Medical emergencies - Call 999

Injuries such as sprains, suspected broken bones, burns or wounds - Call NHS 111

  • Routine care or reviews of long term/pre existing conditions
  • Repeat prescriptions or medication reviews
  • Sick notes
  • Blood tests
  • Routine or non urgent treatments
  • Routine sexual health checks
  • Dental problems
  • Eye problems

The walk in clinic is also not suitable for pregnant women or children under 2 years of age.

PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS

Due to system changes from 31st March 2024 we will be unable to process prescriptions over the telephone and will require atleast 3 working days to process your prescription and send to the pharmacy, these changes are in line with NHS protocol and are being implemented for safety reasons.
